In February of 2013, while on his third deployment to Afghanistan, Staff Sergeant Joseph H. sustained several injuries, including the loss of his right hand. Since sustaining his injuries, Luke’s Wings has had the privilege of reuniting him with friends and family, including his two young children, during the course of his recovery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Most recently, we provided flights for his new bride, Tiffany, and two sons to visit him while undergoing continuous treatment. During retirement, Joseph is looking forward to starting a new chapter of his life in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, he will attend welding school and live life to the fullest with his family by his side.
