Army Chief Warrant Officer, Angela Duarte has been serving our country for over 30 years. Angela has been part of many combat operations during her deployment in Kuwait. After her deployment, she was diagnosed with PTSD related to combat and she now experiences major depression disorder. Angela loves spending time with her children and grandkids. However, spending time with her family has been difficult since she has been receiving treatment at Walter Reed. At Luke’s Wings, we understand how important it is for the service member to have the support of your loved ones while receiving medical treatment. In December of 2019, Luke’s Wings assisted Angela with flights to spend Christmas with her family. We have been providing her and her loved ones with airfare and we will continue to do so for as long as she needs it.

“I just can’t say enough about Luke’s Wings. I am permanently and total 100% combat disabled veteran with limited income and without Luke’s Wings, I would miss major milestones with family members. Just recently my oldest son asked me to spend his birthday with him and the rest of the family, my daughter-in-law, 4 grandchildren, youngest son and his fiancé in Ohio. I am unable to drive or be in a car for long distances, so I usually miss this type of event; however, with Luke’s Wings, it was possible. Thank you for giving me the gift of time spent with my precious family. Thanks for all you do.”
