Corporal Colt S. joined the Marines in June of 2004 at just 19 years of age. Almost immediately, he was deployed to Iraq where his truck was hit by an IED. It has been 13 years since the terrible accident that left him with a wide variety of injuries, many of which he still faces today. On June 19th, 2019, Colt underwent an amputation of his lower left leg at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Since he first started his journey to recovery, his wife, Tracie, has been by his side every step of the way. However, his surgery forced Colt to be away from his three kids and the rest of his family. With your support, Luke’s Wings provided flights for his children, mother and sister to visit him in the hospital after his surgery. He received his prosthetic right before his they arrived, so his family got to watch him walk for the very first time after his injury so long ago – a major accomplishment for our warriors!

Total Value of Flights: $5,472
