Play ball! Thanks to our friends at the Orioles, Geico, and T. Rowe Price, Luke’s Wings hosted 14 recovering service members and loved ones at the August 26th Orioles vs. Yankees baseball game at Camden Yards.

The Sunday Suite Program, presented by Geico and T. Rowe Price, gives wounded service members, active duty and veteran families a VIP treatment from start to finish. As Luke’s Wings families arrived to Camden Yards, they were treated to a special player meet and greet with second basemen, Jace Peterson, while watching batting practice from the field. Donned with their American flag Orioles t-shirts and hats, these deserving families cheered on their teams from the comfort of a private, catered suite, hosted by T. Rowe Price, and were even featured on the jumbo-tron during the second inning!

Each year, our families love sharing in America’s pastime alongside other members of the military community at these military appreciation games. Luke’s Wings’ longstanding relationship with the Orioles started in 2013 with the help of the team’s first baseman and pitcher, Chris Davis and Darren O’Day ,who made donations based on their on-field performance. That year, Davis donated $100 for every home run he hit while O’Day has donated $50 for each strikeout up until his recent trade to the Braves.
