Washington, D.C., (December 31, 2009) – Luke’s Wings announced its second annual runway fundraiser, Fashion Takes Flight to take place on January 20,2010 at Long View Gallery in Washington, D.C.

Luke’s Wings’ first annual Fashion Takes Flight fundraiser and fashion show in March 2009 sold out the week of the event, allowing the charity to raise over $10,000. A significant portion of the proceeds flew the parents of SGT John Moore, an injured Iraq serviceman, to Walter Reed Hospital the day following the fundraiser. This year, the charity hopes to double the proceeds allowing them to provide more families with the means to visit their loved one’s during recovery.

Join Luke’s Wings for cocktails, a silent auction and an exhibition of some of the Districts finest threads, modeled by our servicemen and women as part of our charity’s third anniversary celebration and 2010 kick-off campaign.
