Tammie Smiley has been in the Modeling and Simulation field for 25+ years and is currently a Senior M&S Solutions Architect at Trideum Corporation supporting the Army Modeling and Simulation Office.   Throughout her career, Tammie has worked for the Night Vision Sensor Directorate (NVESD), National Simulation Center (NSC), Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), Joint Modeling and Simulation Division (JAMSD), Mission Training Complex in Fort Campbell and Fort Stewart and Director of Joint Multinational Simulation Center (JMSC) in Grafenwoehr, Germany. 

Understanding that her purpose is to serve, she has been an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc for the past 27 years where she serves all mankind.  Tammie is on the Board of Directors for the Trideum Foundation where she is currently the Vice President.  She is the Vice President of the Alexandria-Mount Vernon chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.  In addition, she is on the Board of Directors for the Ivy Foundation of Northern Virginia. She also serves on the Alfred Street Baptist Church Foundation Scholarship committee.  Lastly, Tammie actively supports Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) legislative advocacy for service members and their families. 

Tammie received her BBA in Information System from Prairie View A&M University, a Master of Arts in Computer Resources, and Information Management from Webster University.  After receiving her master’s degrees over 20 years ago, Tammie is currently enrolled in a Master of Business Administration program. 

She is married to LTC (RET) Walter J Smiley, Jr., and they have one daughter Kaitlyn.
