Michael M., a U.S. Army E-5 Sergeant and a combat-injured Purple Heart recipient, was shot by a sniper in Baghdad, Iraq in October 2008. His father, an E-4 Electrician’s Mate in the U.S. Navy, was exposed to Agent Orange during his deployment from 1968 to 1969. Due to his exposure, he has been dealing with critical lung issues.
